Soft, Sweet and Chocolate! This recipe is easy to make and freezes well. Make a large batch, bake some now, freeze the dough to bake up some later.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup of softened salted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup of milk chocolate chips
  • 1 cup of raisins

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
  2. Mix together the flour and baking soda.
  3. Using a mixer, cream together butter and sugar until it is light and fluffy.
  4. Add in the eggs and vanilla, mixing thoroughly.
  5. Add in the flour & baking soda.
  6. Once all is mixed well, by hand stir in the chocolate chips and raisins.
  7. Using a cookie scoop, drop onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet.
  8. Bake at 350° for 10 - 12 minutes until golden brown and slightly underdone. Cool on the baking sheet - don't touch! for 5 minutes.
  9. Once they are cool transfer over to a baking rack to cool completely.

Tips

The tip is to leave the cookies alone for 5 minutes when they come out of the oven. They will continue to cook inside and keep their shape.
