Soft, Sweet and Chocolate!
This recipe is easy to make and freezes well. Make a large batch, bake some now, freeze the dough to bake up some later.
Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 cup of softened salted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 cup of milk chocolate chips
- 1 cup of raisins
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350° F.
- Mix together the flour and baking soda.
- Using a mixer, cream together butter and sugar until it is light and fluffy.
- Add in the eggs and vanilla, mixing thoroughly.
- Add in the flour & baking soda.
- Once all is mixed well, by hand stir in the chocolate chips and raisins.
- Using a cookie scoop, drop onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet.
- Bake at 350° for 10 - 12 minutes until golden brown and slightly underdone. Cool on the baking sheet - don't touch! for 5 minutes.
- Once they are cool transfer over to a baking rack to cool completely.
Tips
The tip is to leave the cookies alone for 5 minutes when they come out of the oven. They will continue to cook inside and keep their shape.
